August 20 – Back to School Night

Meet your child's teacher, visit the classroom, and learn about the exciting year ahead. TK–2nd Grade begins at 5:00 PM, followed by 3rd–5th Grade at 6:00 PM.

September 3, 8:00–10:00 AM — Parent Work Party

Join parent volunteers in the Auditorium to help prepare classroom materials, primarily for TK and Kindergarten classrooms.

September 3, 6:00–7:00 PM — LSLC & Charter Board Meeting
A school leadership meeting involving administrators, staff, teachers and parents. The council discusses school operations including budget, curriculum, safety and campus needs. 

September 4 — No School: Admission Day
School is closed in observance of Admission Day.

September 7 — No School: Labor Day
School is closed in observance of Labor Day. 

September 11–18 — Scholastic Book Fair

The Scholastic Book Fair returns to the school library! Each class will have a designated time to visit, and families can also shop before and after school. 

September 18, 6:00–8:00 PM — Bedtime Story Jam

Come back to school in your PJs for a special evening celebrating books! Students can hear children’s books read by authors, enjoy milk and cookies, and celebrate a love of reading. 

September 21 — No School: Yom Kippur
There will be no school in observance of Yom Kippur. 

September 22, 8:00–9:00 AM — Coffee with the Principal
Families are invited to connect with the principal, hear school updates and discuss topics affecting the Westwood Charter community. 

September 23, 8:00–9:00 PM — WISE Meeting (Zoom)
Join WISE for its monthly parent organization meeting. All Westwood Charter families are welcome to participate and learn more about what’s happening at school. 

September 25 — Sweet Friday: Family 4/5
Family 4/5 hosts this month’s Sweet Friday! Parent volunteers provide breakfast treats to show appreciation for Westwood Charter’s teachers and staff.
